René Lalique Remix at the Tokyo Metropolitan Teien Art Museum

Hot summer has come to Tokyo. Too exhausted to spend outside in this season.
So I would like to recommend going to the museums in Tokyo. There are many various museums which have value to visit for learning something new.

Currently, many interesting exhibitions are going on. Among them, I picked up René Lalique Remix in the Tokyo Metropolitan Teien Art Museum.

Have you heard René Lalique? He was a French jewelry maker and a glassmaker born in 1860. His design is very famous as a representative of the Art Nouveau and Art Deco movements.

Maybe you have seen some elegant female motif relieves or botanical glass vases in some interior shops or magazines.
They could be Lalique’s works.

This time, in the Tokyo Teien Art Museum, we can see Lalique’s glass accessories, vases, tiles, and more ornaments. They are so beautiful, elegant, and very feminine.

After enjoying the 19century art world, it is good to have tea time at the museum cafe. The cafe is also very refined and matches this exhibition.

Moreover, Teien means garden, and of course, this museum has a comfortable green area where the visitors can be relaxing.      On a hot sunny, visiting the sophisticated museum and having a rest in a cozy cafe or the little woody garden is a good idea!

Please check the website below about the detail of this exhibition.

As well this exhibition, there are a lot of events in Tokyo, and I will try to introduce them as much as possible.
