In Tokyo, not only in the studio, but we can find some yoga lessons in somehow unique places. Like in the temples, in the parks, in the stadiums, or the riversides, etc.
This time, the Tokyo Sky Tree, which is the tallest building in Tokyo and a popular tourist place, is planning a monthly yoga event.
Last June, the Tokyo Sky Tree was registered as a holly Yoga place by the Yoga organization of Japan All.
To celebrate this registration, the yoga lesson event “SKYTREE YOGA” will be held once a month at the Tokyo Sky Tree from this September.
“SKYTREE YOGA” is scheduled on 21st every month and the 1st lesson will be on Sept. 21st (Tue.) night.
The lesson is for from the beginner to some yoga experienced person, so we can learn the basic yoga poses.
Moreover, the lesson is held at night after the closing time for the sightseeing visitors. It means we can enjoy seeing the brilliant night panoramic lights under our feet while posing yoga in the Tokyo Sky Tree without an audience!
That should be an amazing and exciting experience!!
All yoga instructors are professional and have Yoga certificates from the ministry of Arusha in India, so we can learn the authentic yoga style.
It seems very attractive to join this yoga event, however, we have to take care of some points.
At first, it is impossible to rent any mat at the Tokyo Sky Tree and there is no place for changing our clothes. It means that when we attend the yoga lesson, we have to bring our mat or bath towel and wear suitable clothes for yoga. And of course, we have to wear mask inside the Tokyo Sky Tree.
Secondly, to join the yoga class, we have to make a reservation from the Tokyo Sky Tree site. The reservation page has not yet opened now and we have to wait for a while.
If you are interested in doing yoga, and doing something special in Tokyo, don’t forget to check the Tokyo Sky Tree official site or SNS!
